1975, PhD, Psychology, Adult Development and Aging, University of Southern California Donna Cohen is a Professor in the Department of Aging and Mental Health at the Louis de la Parte Florida Mental Health Institute. Dr. Cohen is Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Mental Health and Aging. As chairperson for the Department from 1992-1997, she was instrumental in establishing the Ph.D. in Aging Studies, the first interdisciplinary program of its kind in the world and was also Founding Director of the USF Institute on Aging. She is internationally known for her work concerning Alzheimer's Disease, family caregiving, and long-term care, and she is the leading authority on homicide-suicide, assisted suicide, and homicide in the aged.
